The building trades class completed their 1st project of the year! The class is offered to all area juniors and seniors as a dual credit class with Lamar Community College.


Area high school students who are new to FFA had a chance to find out more about the organization and what it has to offer at the annual BIG (Beginning in Greenhand) FFA Conference held today at Lamar Community College.

The cross-country team survived the hot and hilly course at Ulysses today . . . .and brought home some hardware. Five of the six runners placed in the top 20 and received a medal with Parker Arbuthnot winning the boys' varsity race by over 50 seconds! The team runs at Johnson on Saturday. Keep up the great work horns!

JH Girls brought home first place from the Walsh JH VB tournament today! Way to go, Horns!


Congratulations to Parker Arbuthnot for breaking the school record at the meet in Hugoton today. He ran the 5K in 17:09.64 breaking his previous record of 17:37.9. Way to go Parker!


It was a record breaking day for the cross country team at Hugoton today! 6 of the 7 runners broke their personal record and a school record was beaten . . .again. The high school team placed 7th out of 15 teams. The team heads to Ulysses on Tuesday. Great Job Horns!

Mrs. West's Springfield HS and JH art students celebrate Wassily Kandinsky 1866-1944 and his International Dot Day, on September 15 by painting dots. Kandinsky was an abstract expressionist artist who was drawn to the idea that "everything starts from a dot".



The SaddleRock Sports Network will be broadcasting all of the JH Volleyball Tournament games at Walsh this Saturday. The games are free to watch on their YouTube channel: https://www.youtube.com/@saddlerocksports/streams


JH VB Tournament at Walsh will be held on September 16th. The first match will begin at 8:00 a.m. Following matches will start immediately upon the completion of the preceding match. A team is eliminated after their 2nd loss. There will be a cull concession stand available throughout the day. Goodluck Horns!
Admission: $5.00 adults, $3.00 students and sr. citizens


Calendar Change: The high school football game scheduled for October 6th has been moved to October 7th. Kick-off will still be at 7:00 p.m. at Aaron Hale Field.
