Parenting is very hard work. The time it takes to care for, love, correct, and support one's child or children is intense. There are some online supports that may help parents understand and gain confidence as parenting and support needs become heavier in the 21st Century.
The Child Mind Institute is dedicated to transforming the lives of children and families struggling with mental health and learning disorders by giving them the help they need to thrive. They are the leading independent nonprofit in children’s mental health, operating three Mission Areas that work together for greater impact: Care, Education and Science.

Disciplinary measures are hard to manage. It always feels like my child is getting hammered by the school and "those kids" are getting away with it. Schools establish rules and guidelines to help keep a structured environment. From the general handbook to hallways to each classroom, the structure is important so that learning and teaching can occur. This stop on the school's website helps parents see that something is indeed being done and that the structure is being maintained (we hope).
