2024 Graduate, Lainee Leathers, has been chosen to participate in the CHSCA All-State Volleyball Games. The games will be held on Thursday, June 13th and Friday, June 14th at Colorado State University Pueblo. These exciting games will feature top players and coaches from across the state representing all classifications and regions. Congratulations and Good Luck!

Congratulations to the 2024 Springfield Fighting Longhorn Award Winners, Karina Garcia and Cooper Stolebarger!
The Fighting Longhorn Award is Springfield Schools highest athletic award. The Booster Club established the award to recognize the top-achieving athletes based on the number of letters earned throughout high school, sportsmanship, character, leadership, perseverance and responsibility in maintaining SHS's standards of conduct. The recipients each were awarded a plaque and a $250 scholarship.

The Hagan Scholarship is a nationwide need-based merit scholarship, providing recipients “regardless of nationality” with the opportunity to achieve their goals and graduate college debt-free. Free workshops, Free Schwab Brokerage Accounts, and Free Study Abroad provide recipients with a practical understanding of important life skills not typically covered in the school curriculum. Recipients graduating college while in the Hagan Scholarship Program can apply for a Hagan Graduate Scholarship good for up to four additional semesters in college.

Springfield School District is seeking citizens, parents, or business owners to become a part of our CDE Accreditation process. The meeting schedule is as follows:
June 18, 6:30 PM;
September 17, 6:30 PM;
December 19, 6:30 PM;
March 11, 2025, 6:30 PM;
June 17, 2025, 6:30 PM.
This is a commitment of 3 years. Please sign yourself up or recommend someone whom we should contact. The opportunity to register is open from May 29 - June 10. You may also contact the district office by phone, at 719.523.6654.
The committee shall consist of 3-7 parents of enrolled students, 1-3 community business owners, a board of education member, and 2 employed teachers.
