It's a GREAT day to be a Longhorn with so much success in Science Fair, our Scholar's Bowl prepping for state, basketball teams charging hard into qualifying tourneys for state bids, a recent wrestler @ state, & a pilot after-school K-5 enrichment program! Both the boys and girls play La Veta for the 1A District 3 Championship today at La Junta High School. Girls' tipoff at 4:00 p.m. and Boys' at 5:15 p.m. Good Luck Longhorns!
Congratulations to the junior high regional science fair award winners: Gintri Shaw and Aden Swanson received first place awards from the Colorado Chapter of Soils & Water Conservation Society. Holly Hancock received an award for her dental project from Dr. Morrow. Tyler Mackey and Tatiana Sandoval placed third; Jason Miller, Nolan Hinds and Cobi Mackey placed second; and Dakota Reid, Andrew George, and Gintri Shaw placed first. Dakota, Andrew, and Gintri will represent Springfield Junior High School at the Colorado Science and Engineering Fair at Colorado State University in Fort Collins on April 12-15. Great job!
