A note regarding SES safety on Tuesday, October 17. Students may have told parents that school was on lockdown today. We were not in a lockdown scenario. We did have a student who experienced an angry moment in the hallway around our lunch hour. To be safe, staff kept students on the playgrounds or in classrooms about 5 minutes longer than usual. No student or staff danger occurred.

It was a beautiful day for a run and the cross-country team took advantage. The junior high team finished their season with back-to-back meets, running in Lamar on Friday and Lakin on Saturday. Both girls have continually gotten faster and ended their seasons on a high note. Lexi cut 2:24 off of her top time on this course and Isabell came within less than a second of breaking her personal record.
The high school took on a talented field of runners today and although times and places may not be where they wanted to be, they ran a strong race and all finished in the top half of runners. The high school heads to Monte Vista on Friday. Great job Horns!
