Kindergarteners finished up their day at the theater watching Luca while enjoying a yummy snack. A FUN day!!

This is our second year of book BINGO. We had a total of 31 students participate, second through fifth grades. Each card consists of 24 different categories of books to read. We had 6 students complete the blackout, second graders: Marley Cooper, Jaselyn Maggert and Katie Maczko; fifth graders: Hadley Bray, Braylee Horn and Finley Hume.
Hadley and Braylee completed two black out bingo cards and each started a third. Congratulations students!!


Kindergarten Field Trip to Cimarron Heritage Center in Boise City OK!

Springfield School District's Board of Education will be hosting a Superintendent Candidate Presentation on Friday, April 29th, starting at 5:30 p.m. The event will be held in the high school gym. All community stakeholders are welcome to attend. Those attending will have the opportunity to hear a 20-minute oral presentation from the three candidates chosen as finalists for the superintendent's position.. There will not be a question and answer period following the presentations.

We are so proud of our six young professionals who competed at the State FBLA Leadership Conference this week. Although Nationals was not in the cards this year, all SHS competitors competed with excellence and professionalism, attended numerous leadership workshops, and learned all kinds of things to take into the future!

It's BOGO Book Fair Time!
Our teacher featured this week is Froyla Springsteel. Mrs. Springsteel is an aide at the preschool.

Springfield School District RE-4 seeks an elementary teacher for Springfield Elementary School for the 2022/2023 school year. Springfield RE-4 Schools are on a 4-day a week schedule, Monday through Thursday. This position begins on August 10, 2022.
The successful candidate will exhibit and address the following skills:
•A background in early literacy development, standards-based instructional practices, as well as successful experience as a teacher at the elementary level.
• The ability to work in a team environment along with good communication skills with students and staff.
• A working knowledge of Colorado standards and assessments, content knowledge in reading, writing, math, science, and social studies, and the ability to use data-driven instruction.
• Able to demonstrate the use of research-based instructional strategies and incorporate technology when teaching.
Qualifications:
1. Hold a Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university.
2. Prior to beginning hold a valid Colorado Teaching Certificate endorsed in Elementary Education.
3. Able to show a passing score on the Elementary Content Knowledge PLACE or PRAXIS II test.
4. One to three years of teaching experience with elementary primary students is preferred but not required.
