Springfield High School students attended a DUI drama presented by Colorado State Patrol on Wednesday. It was a combined effort involving CSP, Baca Sheriff, Springfield Police, Springfield Fire Department, SECH EMS, Baca Coroner, and UCHealth Flight for Life. Four SHS students participated as victims of a rollover accident simulation caused by drinking and driving. Thanks to all involved parties for demonstrating to students the possible devastating consequences of drinking and driving. As a positive aspect of the event, students were able to see and ask questions about these essential careers.

"What is that wall thing?" Have you asked that question? This is a mock-up used by the construction company. Anything that is in the plans for the new building has to be completed on the mock-up and approved by the architect before for it ever happens on the actual building. It saves time and money by preventing mistakes and misunderstanding. The mock-up has been relocated to the south side of the high school for the remainder of the project.
